About the Society

A respected society built to preserve heritage and strengthen community.

Founded by Nestani immigrants and their descendants in Chicago, the Central Society of Nestani exists to protect the village’s history, keep members connected, and support worthy causes that reflect our values.

The society serves as a bridge between generations. Older members bring memory, experience, and tradition. Younger members bring continuity and new energy. Both are essential to the future of the organization.

Our priorities

  • Preserve the history and identity of Nestani, Arcadia.
  • Maintain meaningful ties between the American chapter and the village.
  • Support educational achievement through scholarship work.
  • Host dignified annual events that are welcoming and familiar.
  • Provide a clear point of connection for families of Nestani descent.

What We Do

We organize gatherings, promote fellowship, support scholarships, and preserve the story of Nestani for future generations.

Impact in the United States

The society helps families stay connected, encourages member participation, and keeps traditions active in community life.

Impact in Greece

We support initiatives linked to Nestani and remain connected to the religious and cultural institutions that shape village life.

Board and Leadership

A structure built around service.

The society’s officers and board members carry forward the practical work of the organization: event planning, communications, membership, scholarship coordination, charitable support, and stewardship of the society’s mission.
